Acme-Delco-Riegelwood Fire Rescue (ADR) is seeking motivated and dedicated Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians (AEMTs) to join our growing team.

The AEMT will provide high-quality prehospital emergency medical care, respond to 911 calls, and support both EMS and fire operations when needed. This position requires strong clinical skills, sound decision-making, and a commitment to patient care and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities
-Respond to 911 emergency and non-emergency calls for service
-Provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) level care within AEMT scope of practice
-Perform patient assessments, treatments, and interventions in accordance with protocols
-Safely operate ambulances and emergency vehicles
-Complete accurate and timely electronic patient care reports (ePCR)
-Maintain equipment, supplies, and readiness of apparatus
-Participate in daily station duties and assigned chores
-Work collaboratively with fire personnel and mutual aid agencies
-Maintain a high standard of professionalism with patients and the community

Minimum Requirements
-Current North Carolina AEMT Certification (NCOEMS)
-Current CPR Certification (AHA or equivalent)
-Valid Driver’s License
-Ability to pass a Physical Agility Test
-Ability to work scheduled shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications
-Previous 911 EMS experience
-Previous ambulance driving experience
-Familiarity with EMSCharts or similar ePCR systems
-Strong knowledge of North Carolina EMS protocols

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
-Ability to lift and move patients (up to 150+ lbs with assistance)
-Ability to work in high-stress, physically demanding environments
-Exposure to all weather conditions and emergency scenes
-Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift for extended periods
