AEMT @ Alamance Community College

This initial AEMT course will be ran on a flip/flop schedule at our main campus.
Mon/Wed from 6-10pm
Tue/Thur from 3-7pm
Start dates will be January 6, 2025 or January 7, 2025
Students must also complete our Introduction for the ALS provider course. This course will start on 1/3/2025 and is conducted online with the exception for meeting in-person on February 7, 2025. There is a scheduled online orientation via Zoom on 1/3/2025 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm. The Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) course will build on the knowledge that was received in the Emergency Medical Technical (EMT) course. Apply advanced knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care and/or medical transportation. Students will complete field internship and clinicals in multiple settings.

Successful completion of EMS-3200 (Introduction for ALS Providers) from Alamance Community College.
Students must be certified at a minimum level of EMT prior to participation in the clinical
education phase of the course. Students who fail to obtain their EMT (NC/NREMT) certification by the scheduled clinical orientation will be dropped from the program.
Students must have a high school diploma or high school equivalency.
Successful completion of college-level English, or within the previous 12 months complete a
written assessment placing the individual into college-level English. Placement by RISE without the use of a written assessment will not meet this requirement.
