This 96 hour course provides a detailed study of the structure and function of human nervous, sensory, endocrine, integumentary, skeletal, muscular, blood, cardiovascular, lymphatic/immunological, respiratory, gastrointestinal, urinary, and reproductive systems. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of the fundamental principles of anatomy and physiology and their interrelationships. This course meets or exceeds the NC OEMS requirements and standards for Human Anatomy and Physiology for EMS/Paramedic education.
