Position: Community Paramedic
About the Position: The Yadkin County Community Paramedic program is designed to provide the public with enhanced healthcare services within our community. This position requires a highly motivated and disciplined individual who has excellent time-management skills. This person will work 8-hour days/5 days a week as an autonomous unit and will attend to non-urgent/non-transport cases but is subject to emergency services and care as needed/as available.
Salary Range: $51,503 – $77,254. Salary is based on years of experience, education, and other qualifying certificate courses.
Work Schedule: 8 hours shifts with some night and weekend shifts.

Minimum Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Paramedic Certification by the North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services
• Minimum of three years of experience as a full-time Paramedic, or the ability to demonstrate the competencies of a three year Paramedic
• Valid Driver’s License
• AHA CPR
• FEMA Independent Study Courses: IS-100.c, IS-200.c, IS-700.b, and IS-800.c within 1 year of hire
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Ability to meet the physical, communication, and other like requirements listed in the job description
About Yadkin County EMS:
Yadkin County is a rural community located west of Winston-Salem, NC. We serve 37,000+ citizens, as well as the visitors and travelers who commute into and through our County every day. Last year, we responded to over 6,000 request for service utilizing 5 ALS transport units, 2 Community Paramedics, and 1 QRV utilized by our on-duty Supervisor.
We keep an updated fleet equipped with LifePak 15’s, Stryker Power-PRO stretchers & Stair-PRO stairchairs, and PCR software that provides access to patient feedback data from several area hospitals. The Paramedic COVID Specialist will operate out of a QRV.
