- Go to https://continuum.emspic.org/login
- Click on “Create Account” in the upper right-hand corner of the page
- Complete all fields and click “Next” – there are three pages to complete
- After completing the last page, you will receive a message that an email confirmation has been sent to the email address you provided in your profile
- Go to your email, look for the email from Continuum (please be sure to check spam). Click on the link in the email
- You will be re-directed to a page that states “Your email address has been validated”, at this point you are in your profile. Look in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and you will see your name with an arrow next to it, click the arrow to drop down the menu and choose “My Profile”
- The next screen asks what State you prefer, choose North Carolina and click next
- You will be asked to accept a Confidentiality Agreement on this page. Read the agreement carefully, then click “Accept”
- The next page will acknowledge your Confidentiality Agreement; look in the upper right-hand corner, drop down the menu next to your name and choose “My Personnel View”
- This is your profile page; scroll down until you see “State Profiles” and click on “Create a NC state profile ID” and the system will assign a P#
- You have completed setting up your profile in the North Carolina credentialing system
- If you have already created your Continuum profile, login to your account
- Scroll down to “Courses” and click on “Find a Course”
- Enter the course number
- Select your course and enter the course registration code
- You have created your profile and went directly to register for the course and you received the above error message. Log out of your Continuum profile
- Log back into your profile using your new P# as state ID and the password you set your account up with
- Follow the instructions under “How do I register for a course?”
- Login to your profile; you will land on “Your Dashboard”
- Look in the upper right-hand corner of the screen and click the down arrow next to your name
- Choose “My Profile” – this will put you in the edit mode where you can update/change your address, email and/or phone number
- Exam registration is a two step process: logon to your Continuum profile
- Scroll down to “Scantron Exams” and click on register
- Complete the Applicant statement and submit
- Go to your email and find the email from Meazure Learning, follow the instructions in that email to schedule and pay for your exam
- Logon to your profile, click the down arrow next to your name in the upper right-hand corner, drop down the menu and choose “My Personnel View”
- Scroll down to “Scantron Exams” and click on “Register”
- Complete the applicant statement and submit
- Go to your email and find the email from Meazure Learning, follow instructions in that email to schedule and pay for your exam
- Login to your profile, click on the arrow next to your name in the upper right-hand corner and select “My Personnel View”
- Scroll down to “Scantron Exams” and click on “view”. Here you will see the applicant statement you created and the date it was created
- Go to your email and find the email from Meazure Learning to schedule and pay for your exam
- If the date you completed and submitted the applicant statement is more than 90 days old, you must contact the Office of EMS at 919-855-3935 option 0
- Login to your profile, click on the arrow next to your name in the upper right-hand corner of the page
- Scroll down to “Credentials” and click on the print button. The system will put your credential in a PDF file so you can print and/or save it
