Critical Care Paramedic Course

This 12-week INTERNET class runs from 03/04/24 to 05/26/24.
The program is designed to prepare paramedics and nurses to function as critical care transport team members. Critical patients that must be transported between facilities require a different level of care from hospital or emergency field patients. Participants will gain an understanding of the special needs of critical patients during transport, become familiar with the purpose and mechanisms of hospital procedures and equipment, and develop the skills to maintain the stability of hospital equipment and procedures during transport.
Current certification or licensure as a paramedic, nurse, or physician with one year or more of experience in a pre-hospital 9-1-1, Emergency Department, MICU/CICU/CTICU setting, or critical care transport setting. This course is considered a review course for the ISBC, and students can take the FP-C or CP-C test after program completion.
