Pros/Cons/etc:
Small department, no local government retirement, average 5,200 calls a year with a wide variety of calls. No scheduled transports, 911 calls only. Lifepak 15 on all trucks, ESO for documentation, Stryker electric stretchers with powerloads. Protocols include wide variety of skills to be utilized (whole blood, RSI/DAI). Only 2 different stations that you would possibly report to, they are within 5 miles of each other.
Shifts: 24/72
Salary: Probationary Period (usually 6 month): $53,303; after successful completion of probationary period $55,968 (an extra 5% for FF certification)
