Person County Government is recruiting for a Field Training Officer / Lieutenant for EMS. This employee is responsible for serving as a Field Training Officer (Lieutenant) assigned to the EMS Education Program under the direction of the EMS Education Coordinator. The Field Training Officer is responsible for assisting the EMS Education Coordinator with planning, implementation, delivery and documentation of all education and training activities for EMS Division providers on their assigned shift and across the Division as needed. Primary focus will be the orientation and release of newly hired or certified providers, with assistance from the Field Training Evaluators, on-duty EMS education courses and assigned Division education and skills training. The Field Training Officer may participate in the role of the Field Medical Officer for an assigned shift in the absence of the Field Medical Officer.
