Rutherford County EMS is seeking qualified applicants for the position of EMS Shift Supervisor. This critical role combines administrative responsibilities with direct supervision of EMS personnel, day-to-day operational oversight, and response to 911 calls in a Quick Response Vehicle (QRV). The Shift Supervisor will be an integral member of the Administration team, working closely with leadership to support and improve EMS operations. The position operates on a 12-hour shift and reports directly to the Assistant Director.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervising and supporting EMS staff
• Scheduling and overseeing daily EMS operations
• Responding to emergency calls in a QRV
• Handling various administrative duties and other tasks as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
• High school diploma
• Certification as NC Paramedic or NREMT-P
• At least five years of EMS field experience
• Supervisory experience or an equivalent mix of relevant experience and skills
• Valid NC driver’s license
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug test
