This course is designed to meet the North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services’ Refresher Program Guidelines. The curriculum for this renewal course exceeds the National Education Standards curricula requirements for re-credentialing. This renewal course is intended for the EMS community to use to renew their credential. However, this course IS NOT A “REFRESHER” COURSE.
The curriculum for this renewal course meets or exceeds the National Education Standards curricula and the National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) requirements for re-credentialing EMT’s. This renewal course is intended for the EMS community to use for continuing education and/or re-credentialing a current* North Carolina EMT credential.
Upon successful completion of this course, learners will have met all necessary requirements for renewal of a current North Carolina EMT credential.
*Providers with an expired NC credential are required to complete a “Refresher course” which includes a Technical Scope of Practice (TSOP) evaluation. If your credential is set to expire or expires during the timeframe of this course, it WILL NOT count for a “refresher” course and you will not be able to renew your credential.
This course registration is through Carteret Community College. The course work is completed on e911 Learning Solutions.
