Henderson County EMS is a progressive 911 EMS agency that currently staffs nine dual-paramedic EMS units. Our department serves two local hospitals, one regional trauma center and is supported by a separate agency that handles all convalescent transports. Applicants must:
Possess a current paramedic certification OR
Possess EMT or AEMT certification, currently be enrolled in a paramedic program, and obtain paramedic certification by June 30, 2025
Testing is required and includes written, practical, and physical ability testing. Previous emergency medical service experience is preferred. Pre-employment screenings are required for all finalist applicants.

Paramedic I – Starting at $29.58 (4 % increase after orientation)
Advanced EMT – $27.39
