Pasquotank-Camden EMS operates out of a main station centrally located in Elizabeth City, NC. Pasquotank-Camden EMS also utilizes three substations to better serve its citizens with one located in Nixonton and the other two in North and South Camden.Pasquotank-Camden EMS provides a system of high quality pre-hospital care to a diverse urban and rural population of around 50,000 between both Pasquotank and Camden Counties.
All applicants must have the following:
1) High School Diploma or G.E.D.;
2) Current pre-hospital certification at the Paramedic level by the North Carolina Office of EMS or ability to obtain legal recognition
3) Possession of a valid driver license
4) Good physical agility and ability to perform duties
5) Ability to pass local medical board, if necessary & provide documentation of continuing education hours for verification
6) Current course completions preferred in Basic Life Support, Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support & Advanced Cardiac Life Support where appropriate.
Salary ranges based on 2025 fiscal year budget:
Paramedic: Grade 20: $43,512- $61,292 ($20.92- $29.47 hourly) depending on total years of EMS service at any level.
Other full time benefits also include health insurance, vacation, sick time and up to 5% 401K employer match.
