Fundamentals of Airway Management is a one-day, intensive airway management course, designed for First Responders, Basic, some Intermediate level EMS providers and other medical professionals who may be required to manage a patient’s airway before transport to a hospital. This course focuses on the critical aspect of bag-mask ventilation, teaching techniques proven to be effective, oral and nasal airway adjuncts, and the proper use of wide range of extraglottic, supraglottic, and infraglottic airway devices. Curriculum also including instruction on the proper use of CPAP, and the integral role of a well functioning intubation team.
This course is taught by the expert faculty of The Difficult Airway Course with Dr. Hamilton Rocha, M.D. & Dr. Anelise Brito, M.D. leading the instruction. Additional faculty included Dr. Dennis Taylor, DNP, PhD, Michael Keller, BS, NRP, and a complement of visiting physicians from Sao Paulo, Brazil, all of which are faculty of The Difficult Airway Course Residency Program.
