Gaston College Summer 2024 EMT Basic Bootcamp

Monday through Thursday 8:30am -3:00pm

This 244 hour initial Basic Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course follows National EMS Education Standards. This course includes all skills and course information necessary to provide emergency care of sick and injured patients at the basic care level. EMTs often work for EMS agencies, transport providers, the fire service or other specialized care facilities. Upon successful completion of the EMT course, which includes classroom instruction, psychomotor skills competency, driver training and affective behavior training, the successful student will be able to sit for the state and national written examinations. The student will complete the class with AHA BLS, OSFM EVD and TIMS.
