SALARY INFORMATION:
• Paramedics working 12 to 24-hour shifts can earn approximately $19.20 per hour.
• EMTs working 12 to 24-hour shifts can earn approximately $14.32 per hour).
• Paramedics completing the clinical ladder will receive additional pay
• Sign on bonus $10,000
• 401K (25% matching up to 6 %)
• Paramedics who serve as Field Training Officers receive extra duty pay.
SHIFT INFORMATION:
• Shifts available: 12 and 24-hour shifts (day and night).
• For Paramedic students attending school a flexible 12 hour schedule is available to assist with school and life balance
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Graduation from high school and completion of:
• Paramedic degree or certification program OR
• Advanced EMT certification program; OR
• EMT certification program; OR
All staff must be certified by the state of NC Office of Emergency Medical Services at the appropriate level
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• A valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
• Excellent patient care skills with thorough knowledge of EMT-level emergency medical protocols and the ability to properly use
appropriate equipment and supplies
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and adherence to policies/procedures
• Dedication to outstanding customer service and community focus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with a variety of individuals, including citizens, co-
workers, managers, hospital staff, and other agencies
• Exceptional initiative and motivation
• Working conditions are inside/outside, and candidates must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull at least 200 pounds with a partner regularly.
PREFERENCES:
• Certified Paramedics or Paramedic students with EMT certification.
• Applicants with successful completion of BLS, PHTLS, ACLS, or PALS courses
