Johnston Community College – EMS 3163 Anatomy and Physiology

This course is 96-hours completely online.

This course meets the requirement for NCOEMS Anatomy and Physiology Requirements for entry into an initial Paramedic program.
This course provides a basic study of the structure and function of the human body. Topics include a basic study of the body systems as well as an introduction to homeostasis, cells, tissues, nutrition, acid-base balance, and electrolytes. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of the fundamental principals of anatomy and physiology.

This course is being offered as a 16-week course from January to May. If students are interested in the fast track course (8 weeks), a second offering for this is being provided.
