Lenoir County EMS Paramedic and Advanced EMT Opportunities

As a member of Emergency Services with Lenoir County Government, you can make a difference! The Emergency Medical Services Division is seeking candidates for Advanced EMTs and Paramedics. Lenoir County EMS operates on a 24/72 shift rotation from five county stations. We utilize a progressive tiered response model which includes a mixture of ALS ambulances, QRV Paramedics, 12 hr “Peak Time” units, and Community Paramedics. EMS Department staff also have opportunities to participate as members of several county-wide special operations units including the SMAT III Disaster/HazMat/Decon Response Team, Wilderness SAR Team, and the highly competitive/selective Tactical Medic Team.

Minimum Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent with 1-2 years of experience in Advanced Emergency Medical Services Work
• Possess a valid North Carolina Driver’s License
• Credentialed by the NC Office of Emergency Medical Services
• Current ACLS, PALS, & PHTLS certifications strongly preferred
• Completion of ICS 100, 200, 300, 700, and 800

Hiring Range:
Paramedic – $58,867 Annual (23.78/Hr)
** Additional salary incentives available for experienced Paramedics.
AEMT – $53,433 Annual (21.54/Hr)
EMT – $46,226 Annual (18.57/Hr)
