Lincoln County EMS – Assistant Shift Supervisor

Lincoln County EMS is the sole provider of Emergency Medical Services in Lincoln County; the County has a population of nearly 92,000 and our service completes approximately 18,600 calls per year. Lincoln County EMS operates 8 ALS units and 1 BLS unit during the day (including peak time units) and 5 ALS units at night. Crew members are assigned 12-hour shifts using a 2-2-3 rotation and work straight days or nights. Each shift is managed by a Shift Supervisor who is supported by two Assistant Supervisors and a Field Training Officer.

Lincoln County EMS is currently accepting applications for Assistant Supervisor positions at our agency. Applicants must have both an NC Paramedic credential and National Registry Paramedic credential. The applicant should have the knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with an Associate Degree. The candidate should have a level of experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with one to three years’ experience or service.

Eligible applicants will be contacted to participate in a hiring process which will evaluate the candidates based on their Paramedic, management and leadership skill set.

The hiring range for this position is $25.00-26.25/hour with the opportunity for a 2.5% raise after completion of a probationary period. Lincoln County EMS also has a step program for crew members to obtain salary increases based on educational experience, longevity, and special teams’ participation.
