Durham Tech’s Paramedic (Continuing Education) program is a certificate-only, one-year cohort (includes both class and clinical components), that will prepare students to enter the workforce and provide high-quality emergency medical care to critically ill and injured patients. Graduates of this program will be eligible to take state and/or national certification examinations at the paramedic level. Employment opportunities include providers of emergency medical services, fire departments, rescue agencies, hospital specialty areas, as well as industry, educational and government agencies. All courses are required for program completion.
Class information: The entire program will be separated in 3 parts.
Part I – August 2025 – February 2026 Monday/Wednesday 8 AM – 5 PM
Part II – March 2026 – May 2026 Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8 AM – 5 PM
Part III – May 2026 – August 2026 Clinical field internship
Cost: $1100.25 for full program* *not including fees, materials, and supplies (estimated additional $700) Each part is fee waiver eligible for public safety employees
