In this course we build upon skills and assessments learned in the EMT course and provide students with the knowledge they need to provide advanced level care. Topics include but are not limited to, anatomy and physiology, advanced airway management, IV therapy and emergency pharmacological therapy, basic & advanced cardiology, basic & advanced EKG interpretation, and medical and trauma patient assessment. Students will have many opportunities for hands on experience in the clinical setting.
