Sampson Community College EMS Program offers a highly interactive, web based, blended EMT Program. This course utilizes classroom and online course material to deliver a premium educational experience. We are pleased to have clinical partners from the triangle to the coast to provide students with a variety of environments and experiences. We strive in educational excellence and provide multiple opportunities for a multifaceted clinical experience.
Students will be required to attend lectures on Tuesday OR Wednesday 0800-1430 and labs on Thursday OR Friday 0800-1430. Didactic components will consist of seated and MOODLE online and will adhere to strict oversight. This course will operate on an alternating flip/flop attendance, and you can switch days each week depending on your work schedule. You must attend two of the four days each week.
Free seated tutoring to ensure student success. Other arrangements to meet the students’ needs are available with prior scheduling.
Sampson Community College EMS Programs now utilize Platinum for all clinical skills/labs tracking and EMS Testing for all unit and high-stake exams.
Prerequisites, Requirement and Registration 2025
1. Submit proof of high school diploma or high school equivalency.
2. Candidates must be 17 years of age by the end date of the course.
3. Candidates who ONLY possess a GED or high school equivalency will be required to take the TABE Test. The candidate must take the reading and comprehension section and score at the 11th grade reading and comprehension level or higher. There is no fee to take this test.
