Sampson Community College EMS Program offers a highly interactive, web-based, blended Paramedic Program that utilizes classroom and online course material to deliver a premium educational experience. We are pleased to announce new clinical partners to include Sampson County Emergency Services, Sampson Community Hospital, ABC Pediatrics, Johnston County EMS, Duplin County EMS, Pender County EMS, Bladen County EMS, Onslow County EMS, and Harnett County Emergency Services. We strive in educational excellence and provide multiple opportunities for a multifaceted clinical experience.
Our EMS Program is proud to announce high fidelity simulation. We have a simulation rig, two Ambu men, two APPOLO, child HAL manikin and multiple variations of simulation equipment. This will help to facilitate the learning environment for BLS and ALS students.
Students will be required to attend class on main campus on an alternative flip/flop (FLEX) schedule twice a week, this will be for curriculum and continuing education students.
Prerequisites, Requirement and Registration 2025
1. Submit successful completion of an EMT Program and valid certification based on current National EMS Education Standards.
2. Successful completion and valid certification for AHA – BLS CPR
3. Submit proof of high school diploma or high school equivalency.
4. If you have a college transcript with previous coursework and/or degree please submit a copy to Sampson Community College EMS

5. Students must make an appointment with the Program Director to interview for the program. This MUST be done prior to enrollment.
Co-Requisites:
1. Students will be required to take EMS 3168 & EMS 3169 Anatomy & Physiology Part I and Part II, which is the same as BIO 168 & BIO 169 on curriculum. Students will be fee exempt.
