North Carolina Committee on Trauma Consultation Final Report In August 2004, North Carolina underwent a three-day review of its trauma system by a team of specialists from the American College of Surgeons. The report from this consult visit provides an extensive discussion of each trauma system component, its current status, and recommendations for the future.
Pediatric Interfacility Guidelines The Pediatric Inter-facility Transfer Guidelines were developed by a workgroup of the Emergency Medical Services for Children Advisory Committee to assist hospitals in pre-planning for the transfer of critically ill or injured pediatric patients when the patient’s needs exceed the capabilities or resources of the receiving hospital. Pre-planning helps to ensure that the pediatric patient will receive timely and appropriate emergency care so that the best outcomes may be achieved.
