Starting Hourly Rate / With No Experience – 12-hour shifts:
> EMT $19.67 / $29.51 OT rate.
($47,996 annually including mandatory overtime & training)
> Advanced EMT $20.66 / $30.99 OT rate.
($50,410 annually including mandatory overtime & training)
> Paramedic $21.70 / $32.55 OT rate.
(52,948 annually including mandatory overtime & training)
Week 1 = 36 hours
Week 2 = 44 hours
*Plus monthly paid con-ed training.
With successful evaluations, hourly rate increases at six months, 12-months, and annually thereafter until you reach standard pay rate.
EMT’s and AEMT’s have the opportunity to apply to the in-house Randolph County Paramedic Academy. Get paid to sit in class and attend clinical with no contractual agreement required!

Randolph County EMS operates out of 8 bases all across the county and operates 11 transport units out of those bases. Two franchised advanced EMT units operated and run the convalescent calls as well as 911 backup. All units are equipped with Lifepak 15 cardiac monitors, video laryngoscopes, LUCAS devices, and several other pieces of advanced equipment to make your job easier.
