General Conference Information
NC EMS EXPO is one of the most widely recognized EMS educational conferences in the country, offering its attendees the opportunity to hear presentations from outstanding faculty from across North Carolina and the United States. The conference provides continuing education credit for topics of general interest and current advancements in the fields of pre-hospital emergency care, emergency and trauma medicine, and public health. The conference audience includes basic life support (BLS) and advanced life support (ALS) personnel, emergency medical dispatchers (EMD), EMS professionals, EMS administrators, EMS educators, emergency medicine/trauma physicians/nurses, public health professionals, emergency managers, State Medical Assistance Team (SMAT) personnel, disaster planning coordinators, medical facility administrators, law enforcement officials, search and rescue responders, preparedness officials and others who play an essential role in critical incidents.
Presentation Submission Information:
The North Carolina Office of EMS is committed to delivering high-quality educational programming that advances emergency medical services, healthcare, public safety, and patient care across North Carolina and beyond. We invite presenters to submit engaging, evidence-based, and practical sessions that provide attendees with knowledge, skills, and innovative strategies they can apply in their daily practice.
We are seeking presentations that reflect current best practices, highlight emerging trends, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and share lessons learned from real-world experiences. Whether presenting clinical advancements, operational improvements, leadership strategies, or innovative models of care, submissions should be relevant, educational, and designed to improve outcomes for patients, providers, organizations, and communities.
The following presentation categories represent the educational priorities for the 2027 NC Expo. We encourage presenters from EMS, hospitals, healthcare systems, emergency management, public health, fire and rescue, law enforcement, communications, academia, and other partner organizations to submit proposals that inspire innovation, promote collaboration, and strengthen the continuum of care.

Presenter Participation
Serving as a conference presenter is voluntary, and the North Carolina Office of EMS does not provide honoraria. Lodging expenses will be covered for selected presenters, and out-of-state speakers may be eligible to receive a travel stipend. All selected presenters will receive complimentary full conference registration. Note: we will only provide a travel stipend for lead presenters. If you are submitting the session to NC OEMS you are considered the lead presenter.
Presenters should not submit more than a maximum of five proposals. We will not accept any late proposals.
Thank you for submitting your proposal to present at the 52nd annual NC EMS Expo. The NC Office of EMS reviews all proposals submitted and selects presenters based on their topics, prior experience, current EMS trends, and ensures that a variety of continuing education is offered.
