Henderson County is accepting applications for full-time and part-time paramedic positions with Emergency Medical Services. Must have a current North Carolina Paramedic certification or be certified at the EMT or Advanced EMT level and obtain paramedic certification by June 30, 2024. Testing is required and includes written, practical, and physical ability testing. Previous emergency medical service is preferred. Pre-employment screenings required for all finalist applicants.

Starting Salaries
• Paramedic I – Starting at $29.00 (4 % increase after orientation)
• Advanced EMT – $26.85
• Emergency Medical Technician – $25.82
Hiring salary will be determined based on qualifications and internal equity.
