SALARY: Begins $46,104 (Base) plus paid overtime and 13 paid holidays. Expected total annual salary of $66,145 if all scheduled shifts are worked.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Applicant should be a high school graduate or equivalent with experience in emergency medical care. Applicant must possess a valid NC driver’s license, valid Paramedic certification through NCOEMS and have the ability to deal tactfully with the public.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Fulltime employees work 24 hour shifts on a 9 day rotation (24 on, 24 off, 24 on, 24 off, 24 on, 96 off). Sampson County EMS provides all continuing education needs for re-credentialing. Employee must be able to perform all aspects of pre-hospital paramedic level care.

Equipment: Sampson County EMS operates 7 ambulances and QRV handling approximately 12,000 calls annually. We have advanced medical equipment such as LP15s, LUCAS devices, Ultrasounds, IV Pumps, RSI and more. Our trucks are equipped with power load stretchers and CAD systems.
